Run 4 the Hills Walk/Run coming June 23
The "Run/Walk 4 the Hills" cross-country race will be held Saturday, June 23 at Crow Creek Park, 4800 Devils Glen Road, Bettendorf.
In addition to the 3.1-mile cross country run, a one-mile and 1/4-mile run will be held. The cross country run starts at 8 a.m., followed by the one-mile run at 9 a.m. and the 1/4-mile run at 9:15 a.m.

Spring Senior Golf Cart Tour
The Friends of the Bettendorf Parks Foundation is planning a Golf Cart Tour of Bettendorf’s Recreation Trail on Monday, May 21, 2012.
The event will consist of a tour of Bettendorf’s Duck Creek Recreation Trail from Palmer Hills Golf Course to Duck Creek Park and back.
Transportation on the trail shall be by golf carts provided by Palmer Hills Golf Course. These carts may be operated by the participants or operators will be provided for those choosing to not drive themselves. Stops will be made at several sites along the way.
The tours will be approximately 1 ½ hours round trip and will depart at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Parking for the tour will be Palmer Hills Golf Course parking lot (2999 Middle Road, Bettendorf.). There is no fee and liquid refreshments will be provided. Reservations are required.
For more information, call Bettendorf Parks & Recreation at 344-4113. The tours are limited to no more than 70 people per tour and Tuesday May 22 is the rain date. Online registrations, phone registrations and walk in registrations will be taken STARTING May 1, 2012.

May 2012 For Sale By Owner Event
Bettendorf Parks & Recreation Foundation to present For Sale by Owner Event
Attention vehicle buyers and sellers!
Bettendorf Parks & Recreation Foundation will present a "For Sale By Owner" event Saturday, May 19from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, May 20 from noon to 5 p.m. at the old Eagle parking lot, 2850 18th Street in Bettendorf.
The event is a fundraiser for the Bettendorf Parks & Recreation Foundation. Proceeds will be used to provide funding for educational and recreation programs and special projects sponsored by the Foundation.
This is an opportunity for owners of motorized vehicles such as cars, trucks, vans, motorcycles, boats, and motor homes (including 5th wheels and other pull-behind campers) to sell their vehicles at one community-wide sale. Individuals interested in buying these vehicles will be able to view multiple vehicles at one time and location.
The vehicles will be displayed in the parking lot Saturday, May 19 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, May 20 from noon to 5 p.m. only. All transactions are purely private transactions between the buyer and the seller. For more information contact the Bettendorf Parks and Recreation Department at 563-344-4464.

- "For Sale by Owner" event will be held May 19-20, 2012, at the parking lot south of the Bettendorf Library. Residents and non-residents wishing to sell any motorized vehicle may rent a space to display their car, motorcycle or boat.
